FORM FOLLOWS LIFE CYCLE
Form Follows Life Cycle is a holistic design approach that considers environmental sustainability across every stage of a building’s life in order to generate rich and distinctive architectural experience. The projects on this page are the practical means through which we continue to develop this approach, and evolve our understanding of architecture as one dynamic system among many.
Some of the ideas and strategies we engage with are: re-use of on-site resources; simple forms of construction; low embodied carbon; minimal fabrication and an economy of means in general; low energy in use and net zero carbon; flexible and adaptable spaces; robustness and longevity; design for disassembly.
