RIBA Stirling Prize Shortlist is Announced
The Cork House, co-designed by one of the directors of CSK Architects, Dido Milne, for her family in Eton, makes it onto the Stirling Prize Short List. The house was designed in collaboration with Matthew Barnett Howland www.matthewbarnetthowland.com her partner, who led both the Research Project and build and Oliver Wilton, Director of Technology at the Bartlett School of Architecture. It is an innovative plant based construction, designed for disassembly and embodied carbon negative at completion. The judges said, ‘The structure draws upon ancient inspiration, harking back to a time when humans and nature were more intertwined’ – and that ‘it was a noble and momentous model to aspire to’
