RIBA STEPHEN LAWRENCE PRIZE SHORTLIST IS ANNOUNCED

The Cork House, co-designed by one of the directors of CSK Architects, Dido Milne, is one of six to be shortlisted for the RIBA Stephen Lawrence Prize. The house was designed in collaboration with Matthew Barnett Howland www.matthewbarnetthowland.com, and Oliver Wilton, Director of Technology at the Bartlett School of Architecture.  The award celebrates new, experimental architectural talent, rewarding projects with a construction budget  of less than £1 million.  Cork House is a brand new and radically simple form of plant-based construction, an inventive response to the complexities and conventions of modern house construction. The judges were “inspired by the skill, creativity and innovation of the architects and clients behind each of the shortlisted projects from across the whole of the UK”.
