BACK TO EARTH

The office hit the road.  Our first stop was down to Salisbury to see the manufacture of hemp products – from cladding panels to chipboard – providing inspiration for designing with lower carbon alternatives.  We then headed further west to visit The Brickyard, viewing the work being carried out to create a modern country house with rammed earth.  Pleasingly, 75% of the materials for the earth recipe were being gathered from and processed on site.  A big thanks to Hemp Press Ltd and Jonathan Tuckey Design for hosting us.
