110 MARYLEBONE HIGH STREET SHORTLISTED FOR THE ARCHITECTURE TODAY SCHUCO EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2022

CSK’s contemporary, carefully articulated brick addition to St. Vincent Street, which houses a new cantilevered stair core and links through to the historic fabric of 110 Marylebone High Street, has been recognised by this year’s judging panel. Our design intention was to create an active expressive facade encouraging interaction at street level. This was achieved through a rich level of detailing, the facade opening up to the street at ground level with glass box seats cantilevering over the paving below, balconies at second providing a moment to pause, opening windows to the third floor to encourage natural ventilation and a fully glazed mansard at fourth.
