Newlands Park Buckinghamshire University

We initially carried out a number of feasibility studies to establish how the estate as a whole could be modernised and developed from a college housing
520 students to a campus accommodating 8000 full time students. The built scheme included 405 new student rooms with ancillary kitchenettes & common room facilities.

The site was designated as an 'Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’ The campus was located in the Green Belt adjacent to the Chiltern Open Air Museum.

The external spaces created by the arrangement of the different building blocks have lead to a successful
campus-feel to the development.

Owing to the dictates of the education calendar it was vital to maintain contract programme.

405 rooms were successfully completed within the constraints of a tight programme and budget.
